Set up product signups

A product Waiting List collects requests for a product update. It does not reserve inventory or grant waiting-room admission. Have a product, access to its theme template, and an inbox you control ready for a test.

  1. Open Waiting Lists → Create waiting list. Select the intended Shopify product and, when offered, the specific variant. Check that the selection matches the availability you want to notify about.
  2. Review Signup. Write a clear heading, button, and explanation of the requested update. Choose whether to follow store defaults or customize this list.
  3. Review Email. Check the subject, message, branding, button, and destination in the preview. Configure reply-to and confirmation separately in Email sender.
  4. Open Placement and add the QueueFront waitlist block to the appropriate product template. Save the theme and check that the intended product is assigned to that template. Theme steps.
  5. Choose Save draft while preparing. Reopen the draft and confirm the selected product/variant and copy.
  6. Check sender readiness and the forms/sending preference. Choose Publish waiting list when ready, then verify the resulting active state and actual product page.

With an inbox you control, submit the actual storefront form once. Complete the confirmation email if required. Open Subscribers, select the relevant list, and confirm the recorded state and consent history.

An editor preview can show a form before real signups are available. A saved theme block alone is not proof that the list and sender are ready. Test the specific variant selection when your list is variant-specific.

Review the relevant availability condition, message, subscriber eligibility, and remaining allowance. Use defaults, triggers, and sending to understand automatic conditions and Notify now. A preview does not send; an active list with no eligible subscribers cannot prove delivery.

Use search and the status filter on Waiting Lists to find the intended list. Open Edit to change it, Subscribers to review individual states, or Results for performance.

Changes saved to an already published list can appear live. Pause stops the active list flow, although messages already processing can still arrive. To resume, edit, review, and publish again. Removing the theme block does not delete subscribers or replace the list’s own controls.
