Supported checkout and limits

QueueFront protection depends on the supported Online Store journey executing the required Shopify validation and carrying valid QueueFront admission. A theme preview or successful redirect alone does not prove the entire path.

  1. Open the protected product through the normal storefront route.
  2. Before admission, verify the expected protected-checkout behavior.
  3. Join the room and complete the admitted journey in the same shopper session.
  4. Continue through the intended product and cart path to Shopify checkout.
  5. Check expired-access recovery using the app’s intended flow.

Use a controlled test product and a test gateway if you need to complete an order. Do not place a real order unnecessarily merely to check navigation.

The documented protection does not extend to POS, Create Order API, order edits, recurring subscription orders, or purchase paths that skip the required validation. Test accelerated or alternative purchase paths you intend to use rather than assuming they behave like the standard journey.

An admitted shopper can continue through the supported flow. Admission has no monetary value, does not reserve stock, and does not guarantee purchase completion. Keep launch copy and notification promises consistent with that distinction.

Need help with a specific theme or purchase flow? Contact support before the launch with a description of the path you need to support.

In the room’s advanced review controls, inspect Checkout failure mode:

  • Keep checkout protected (recommended): keep the protection requirement when the necessary protection is unavailable.
  • Allow checkout if protection is unavailable: prioritize checkout availability in that failure case, accepting that shoppers may proceed without the intended protection.

Choose deliberately, save, and review the result. This is a failure-handling choice, not a stock reservation or a guarantee that every checkout path is supported. For an operational incident, use the documented pause and bypass controls.

Review per-order quantity limits separately from queue capacity. Where stronger one-per-customer checks require Shopify customer sign-in, test the signed-in flow. A limit on an order is not automatically a unique-person limit across every order or channel.
