Set up QueueFront
QueueFront combines Waiting Lists for launch and restock notifications with waiting rooms that manage shopper entry. This overview introduces the setup flow; complete the checks in the app before publishing a live event.
For step-by-step instructions, visit the QueueFront help center. Start with your first test, theme setup, or troubleshooting.
1. Choose your release
Start in QueueFront inside Shopify. Choose the products, variant, collection, or Online Store your waiting room will cover. Set your event schedule, admission order, rate, and queue capacity.
A Waiting List serves a different purpose: it collects shopper requests for a launch or back-in-stock update. A signup does not reserve inventory or a position in the waiting room. Email confirmation depends on the signup flow and your sender preferences.
2. Connect and customize
Follow the in-app setup guide to connect the storefront theme and check checkout protection. Use the visual editor to add your logo, imagery, colors, and shopper messages.
For a Waiting List, open Email sender, add a monitored reply-to address, and check that the sender is ready. Review whether shoppers must confirm by email, configure the signup and notification copy, and confirm the storefront placement before enabling signups.
Waiting-room protection
In Online Store → Themes, choose the theme to edit. Open its theme editor, select App embeds, turn on QueueFront protection, and save. The app’s Enable in Shopify shortcut opens the embed on your published theme; choose an unpublished copy directly in Themes when testing.
Set protected products, collections, or storefront scope in QueueFront. The embed has no settings of its own. To disable it, switch it off in App embeds and save. Room status and checkout validation are separate: disabling the embed does not pause a room or turn off checkout validation.
Product email signup
The optional QueueFront waitlist block requires an Online Store 2.0 product template and a section that supports app blocks. In the theme editor, select your product template, then Add block → Apps → QueueFront waitlist in a compatible section. Vintage themes cannot use this block.
Drag the block to position it. Select it to adjust labels, heading, message, product image, and accent color. Blank heading, message, and button overrides use your QueueFront waiting-list copy. Preview the intended product and save; check other products sharing the template. Configure and publish the matching waiting list in QueueFront when ready to accept signups.
To remove the form, select Remove block and save. This does not delete subscribers or pause the waiting list. A visible theme-editor preview does not establish that signup or email delivery is ready.
3. Preview before publishing
Check the countdown, waiting, and admitted states on desktop and mobile. Test the shopper path and review the app’s store-connection and checkout checks. Use an unpublished theme for your initial preview. A theme copy does not isolate checkout rules: use a development store for a complete test, or carefully restrict the protected scope before publishing on a live store.
Review your event and plan capacity before launch. Publish only when the app’s required checks are complete and the experience matches your release.
